Yesterday in the whare fono we made cupcakes. We had all the ingredients like butter, flour, sugar and eggs all in the food processor. Then Mrs Clarke put it in the oven. When they were cooked we iced them and put sprinkles on them. We ate them at maths. They were great!

prize giving

Tomorrow night there is a prize giving at Pt England school. It is only for the seniors. There will be some prizes for children.

Tennis

On Wednesday we played tennis. I arrived late but was still put into a team. I liked playing the game. It was fun I enjoyed running after the balls and playing with my classmates.

Planets

Yesterday in class we played a game of planets with balloons. We know that the solar system goes around the sun. During the day it is really hot. Just imagine if you were on the sun. You would be very hot. In the game I was holding the balloons with Brennan. I was holding Mars. At the end we all got to pop the balloons. It will be fun to have a sun to put on the wall .

Fiji

We have been learning about the Rugby World Cup. I have been learning about Fiji.

Cross country

On Wednesday we ran in the cross country. It was tiring, but we made it. I ran with David and Damien. It was muddy and our shoes got dirty. It was a long track we had to cross a bridge. When we got back we all laid down. After Cross country we had free time then lunch. I was still tired.

USA

USA is in the Rugby World Cup this year.

Wood tech at Tamaki

Every Monday we go to Tamaki Tech. It is fun because we get to make stuff out of wood. Junior and I are making tow trucks, and Sosaia is making a truck. Next Monday we have to complete our project.

Science Road show

Yesterday we went to Tamaki College for a road show. It was fun and cool. We got to play with the equipment. There was a touch screen TV and a floating ping pong ball. It was fun there. When we finished we came back to school.

Immersion

When we went to Miss Tito’s class we had to create our name in our Net books. We had fun doing it. The next day we went to Mrs Nua’s class. We had to create something around the egg so it wont crack. We had to search for olden day stuff in Mr Harris class. We looked for clothes and shoes and cars. Mr Barks told us about a blow dryer. We had to make a zinger pinger (imaginary pet) in our class. My one was called Alex Riley.

Camp TC

At camp I had fun. I liked going to Swimarama. I liked the hydro slide because I went down fast. I enjoyed the dunker at Rock-Up because I got dunked in the water. When I got out of the water everyone was playing around. But I didn't get to dunk anyone in the water.

I liked doing the activities. My favourite activity was kayaking. Mr Burt and Mr Malloy were our teachers. The hangi food at camp was delicious.
